Prince William Sound Overnight Cruises
Tour 181 & Tour 182
Cruise Prince William Sound aboard the Spirit of Columbia

Prince William Sound is renown for some of the most breathtaking scenery and arguably offers Alaska's most spectacular glacier scenery. Highlights of this cruise include College Fjord, Blackstone Bay, Knight Island and Chenega Glacier. The 4 night cruise also includes the port of Cordova.

Cruise West's vessels are smaller than most of the cruise ships plying Alaska's waters. This allows for cruising through passages which are inaccessible to larger ships, resulting in a sense of truly being part of the great coastal vista. With the friendly and personal atmosphere on board, dramatic scenery, glaciers, and wildlife, this is a cruise you will long remember.

Itinerary

4 day / 3 night cruise (Tour 181)

Day 01:  Sail from Whittier

Depart Anchorage by deluxe motorcoach to Whittier where you will board the Spirit of Columbia for your cruise. After settling into your stateroom, join the Bon Voyage party on deck. This evening you will visit Blackstone Glacier.  Overnight on-board.

Day 02:  College Fjord

Awake this morning to an Ice Age scene at College Fjord. Here dozens of glaciers pour from the mountains to the sea where large chunks of ice break off and plunge into the waters. The cruise continues into narrow Esther Passage, a waterway only small ships can navigate. Wildlife abounds in this area - keep watch for orcas, sea otters and bald eagles. Overnight on-board.

Day 03:  Chenega Glacier and Island Exploration

This morning, cruise narrow wilderness waterways - some just 200 feet wide - leading to Knight Island. Travel past spectacular tidewater glaciers, waterfalls and wildlife. Spend the afternoon in leisurely exploration of islands with barely a trace of human habitation. Overnight on-board.

Day 04:  Whittier to Anchorage

Today cruise close to shore in search of eagles, whales, and waterfowl. Disembark in Whittier by mid-morning and board a deluxe motorcoach for the return trip to Anchorage. Tour ends on arrival in Anchorage.
